We had very little time to spend in Perth after Craig dropped us off, and after looking for something to eat and coffee, we thought to do our responsible travelers' thing and get exposed to some culture :-)
The art gallery of WA was nice and cozy, and we visited Patricia Piccinini's exhibit, Relativity. It was quiet confronting and amazing in the same time. Very alarming concept, and highly recommended.

Little bit of culture
Engraving our brand!
We loved writing our brand-name in the sand. We thought to make it large enough for people spot from the air, but ended up happy with a smaller indentation on the beach :-)

Jump for joy!
I could do this every day. Wake up whenever, a strong coffee, nice breakfast, walk to a pretty little beach and swim in beautifully clear water.
Never felt so clear.

The basin 1
It didn't really matter that the water was freezing cold yesterday morning, we still stripped off to our undies and jumped in the icy but refreshing waters of the basin on rottnest island.

Very sad
You know, I really enjoyed my time on rottnest island, but still was very upset to witness the state the quokkas were in. These poor creatures have been spoilt by the intrusive and invasive presence of humans. They get fed horrible junk food that is not suitable for digestive systems and get constantly disturbed by the curious visitors, and seemingly constant construction or maintenance work on the island. It may not seem as bad as I think it is for the quokkas but I know if I were a native to the island I would be very restless with noises all day long!
I plea to everyone visiting this beautiful sanctuary to resist this weird and annoying urge we humans have to posses, and or get the attention of animals and birds. Please just go there to observe and not interfere.
On behalf of the quokkas, thank you :-)

Delicious sunset
It might be a nice thing to live in Cervantes. Sunset over the Indian ocean was majestic.
